SnapPDF

Images are processed on your device. Generated JPEGs and PDFs are kept in a private recent-files list (up to 20 files or 80 MiB, retaining the newest file), where you can open or remove them. Separately exported files stay in the location you choose. The current build uses bundled ML Kit text recognition and OpenCV edge detection, with no network permission, advertising SDK or analytics integration. Exported JPEGs and photo PDFs do not retain source EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates. Existing PDFs selected for compression are copied into private cache and processed locally. Compressed PDFs contain rasterized page images, with no source metadata or interactive PDF features. Original documents remain unchanged.

Files and deletion

The system picker grants access to the image you choose. SnapPDF does not request access to your entire photo library. Working images, recognized text and document pages are held in memory during a session. The Scan to PDF view requests camera permission for its live preview and capture. Photo import remains available without that permission. Camera captures, generated PDFs and sharing copies use private app cache. Temporary files older than 24 hours are cleared the next time a resized photo is shared. Text is placed on the system clipboard only when you tap Copy text. Clear app storage or uninstall to remove remaining temporary files. Files saved to a location you choose remain there until you delete them. Files shared with another app are handled under that app’s privacy policy.

Advertising and diagnostics

AdMob advertising is planned for launch. It is not enabled in the current offline prototype. No Firebase analytics or crash reporting is installed. These notes and the Play Data Safety declaration must be updated and checked against any SDKs added before release.

Accounts and payments

No user account, subscription or in-app payment is planned for version 1.0.
